Lentil Burgers with Pickled Onion Dipping Sauce

Serves 5


Patties mix
1 can organic lentil beans, drained
1 Tbsp mild curry powder
1 egg, beaten
½ C plain flour
½ tsp salt & pepper to taste
1-2 Tbsp organic Sunflower oil

Dipping Sauce (*this also works well for seafood, schnitzel, sandwiches, or burgers)
10 pieces of Bum Hummers Pickled Onions, minced
1Tbsp chopped parsley
1 hardboiled egg, minced roughly
5-6 Tbsp mayonnaise
Salt and pepper to taste
4 Tbsp Riverina Grove Tomato Relish


  1. Patties mix

    In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together well.

  2. Divide it into 5 flat patties about 7-8cm wide.

  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan, cook patties on medium high heat until both sides are golden brown.

  4. After about 1-2 minutes, turn down the heat and cook for another

    7-8 minutes until the centre of the patties are cooked.

  5. Dipping sauce

    In a small mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients except for the relish.

  6. Serve warm patties with the pickled onion sauce and the tomato relish separated in a small dipping dish.
